My girls all loved to "go for a ride" — those words alone make Elle dance with joy ... but nothing is worse than that wet dog smell when you get caught out in the rain. It happens on home walkies, too. I can't deny her, so I had to find a way to combat the odor that can seep into auto carpet and home rugs as well. Here's a great recipe to dispel that musty smell, whether it's from your pup or visiting furry relatives:
1 cup Baking Soda
21 drops Essential Oils
Choose equal drops of Lemon, Grapefruit, and Cedarwood ... The citrus oils are refreshing, while the cedar scent is naturally deodorizing. Mix and sprinkle onto rugs and carpets, let sit overnight, then vacuum the next day. Not only will your car and home smell wonderful, the scent won't overpower your puppy's nose.
