Scented Stones

Turn beautiful natural objects into a fragrant diffuser while bringing natural décor into your home this season. I love river rocks for their variegated colors and textures. (You can find stones at most home décor stores.) Place rocks in a beautiful vintage bowl or favorite piece of crockery. Avoid baskets, which collect dust and are difficult to clean. Using a cotton swab, apply essential oils to the stones and place them on a sunny windowsill or warm radiator (even a steamy bathroom counter will do) and enjoy the scent. Try Sweet Orange or Lemon for common areas, Eucalyptus or Juniper for baths, Lavender or Sandalwood for bedrooms.
