Wisteria Honey Mint Limeade
I can only attest to enjoying a smaller portion, but Wisteria's Limeade is simply refreshing and delicious. I'm not a huge lemonade fan (funny, because I love love love lemon in any other form), but limeade, sign me up. I made this recipe, taken from a Wisteria blog, with stevia instead of sugar. And I mashed the mint with a wooden spoon and strained it with a collander. (I'm way too lazy to drag out a blender.) Hummm, wonder how this would taste with a dash of Grey Goose?
2 cups lime juice (about 15 limes)
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups chopped and packed fresh mint leaves
1/4 cup honey
1 lime, cut lengthwise for garnish
Bring sugar and one cup water to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add sugar syrup and mint to a blender; puree. Pour through a sieve and discard solids. In a 2-quart pitcher stir lime juice and 1/4 cup honey until blended. Add 6 cups of water, stir, and chill. Add sliced limes before serving.
