Double Duty
Yes, we all know I'm practically in a 12-step program for animal print decor. But it isn't just me: Look closely at photos of the pro's home decor styling in any decor magazine, and you may notice the use of a staple of coffee table vignettes, the 1940 book by Osa Johnson, I Married Adventure. I've been trying to get my hands on a copy for YEARS, but at more than $50 a copy, I've been reluctant. So I jumped at My Mother's Clothes, which caught my eye for its aesthetics, but has now become a favorite that never fails to provide a way to wind down from a trying day. This actually is a wonderful book ... it just LOOKS like a decorative accessory! Just think: You take a journey with the author and her mother's incredible fashions ... then you can use it to enliven a boring side table. Who can resist?
